LG Viewty Silver - Sim Free Unlocked Mobile Phone
Hello folks, I am back with one more phone. This time its… wait for it… wait for it.. no really wait, you did read the title already, right? Silly me. Well, I am down with LG viewty silver. It has been long time since I tried LG phone. Now lets see whats this phone holding. Lets start with the up front look. Well I must say I am not too impressed with the way the phone looks. Front face is covered with its 3 inch screen. Below that, call recieve & drop buttons. Although phone looks better when running instead of switch off. There is not much like design except for the curve below. But whats great is that the 3 inch TFT screen is touch screen. So you may not like the phone at first glance if you like fashionable mobile phones. But if you are more emphasised on performance then look then this phone may draw your interest. This phone is not much about style but performance.
Like I said before, this phone has full 3 inch TFT touch screen with 256k color for better user interface. It also has flash user interface. The touchscreen comes with a touch feedback feature, which means that you can actually ‘feel’ the response from the virtual buttons with a subtle vibration. The screen is bright & clear. Like i said before, phone looks much better when its running. (Don’t take it literally & try to make the phone run) For SMS or E-mail you can use on screen QWERTY keypad or number pad. You can choose whichever suits you best. Now lets look the camera viewty has. LG viewty has 5 MP camera with auto focus & strobe flash. This phone sure packs a big gun. At first glance you may mistake this phone with any digital camera with that heavy camera & full scale screen. You can take high detailed pictures from this phone. It has some outstanding features like flash, autofocus, camera strobe flash and focus assist beam. It allows video recording with VGA (30fps) & QVGA (up to 120fps) modes. Its DivX compatible, you can shoot video content and upload it straight to the web.
Now lets look at the music support of the phone. LG viewty has a media player that supports MP3 & AAC audio formats. It doesn’t support wide range of formats but playback is with good quality. Well, nothing more to say on media player. It also has inbuilt FM radio with RDS. Now lets look at the connectivity. LG viewty is a 3G phone. That means high speed internet. Its an high speed HSDPA phone that can get the speed up to 3.6 Mbps. You can send & receive files over internet in no time. Sensibly, web pages can be viewed in the landscape format, making use of the longest dimension of the display. It supports wireless data transfer with bluetooth & wire transfer is available with USB 2.0.
With all the features are discussed, that leaves us with just one last thing. Battery time. Well, if you are used to mobile phones, then you may have already guessed. 3G phones are always a bit short on battery time. Unfortunately for LG viewty too its true. But compare to few other phones its battery time is better. It gives 4 hours of talk time & 430 hours of stand by time. Well, that’s about all.
